A cultural identity offers a profound sense of belonging. For Indigenous peoples, culture shapes who they are, where they come from, and how they relate to one another. It forms the foundation for traditions, values, spirituality, ceremonies, and connections to the land.

For Indigenous peoples, language is a central to this identity, carrying ancestral knowledge and ethical teachings. It signifies one’s origin and membership within a community. However, many Indigenous languages are now endangered, with some disappearing at a rapid pace, estimated at one language lost every two weeks.

The educational app expands on this mission by offering lessons, quizzes, games, and a section dedicated to cultural history and traditions. Its goal is to support revitalization efforts and make Indigenous languages more accessible to new learners. A vibrant visual style using bright hues and playful spot illustrations was chosen to appeal to a younger audience and enhance learning.

To address this issue, an infographic-style folding pamphlet was designed to educate high school students. The pamphlet includes a second useful life, encouraging ongoing engagement beyond its initial purpose. It works alongside an informational app to promote awareness and support the preservation of Indigenous languages.
