Default and standardized beauty stereotypes continue to shape gender politics in limiting ways. The LGBTQ+ community is not exempt from these unrealistic expectations. Many LGBTQ+ ambassadors and advocates have begun challenging these conventions, pushing for a more fluid and inclusive idea of beauty.
At the center of equality movements is the belief that everyone deserves the freedom to express themselves fully and comfortably in their own body. This campaign aims to give visibility and voice to those who do not fit traditional gender or beauty norms. Its purpose is to highlight individuality and encourage acceptance beyond rigid expectations.
MyDefault was created as a social movement offering an open-ended response to these issues. It seeks to spark conversation, break stigma surrounding LGBTQ+ expression, and reshape society’s default understanding of beauty. The goal is to establish a new, inclusive standard that embraces all bodies, genders, and identities without limitation.
