Trinity is a theatre performance inspired by a Balinese folktale in which Dewi Uma is cursed by Lord Shiva and transformed into the demon Durga Dewi. Consumed by anger, Durga unleashes plagues to destroy life on earth. The three gods of Tri Murthi- Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva who descend to earth in transformed forms (Topeng Bang, Telek, and Barong Swari) to stop her and restore balance to the world.

This legend inspires Balinese communities to recreate these sacred forms as protection against plagues and evil spirits such as Ragna, Leyak, and Celuluk.

The project brings this story to life through six theatre productions and a full-colour promotional brochure featuring contemporary interpretations of traditional Balinese elements.
